Colt by Super Saver out of Somethingaboutbetty

This gorgeous colt is a 3/4 brother to Sweet Loretta by Tapit son Constitution. Constitution was a dual grade one winner between ages 3 and 4, winning the Florida Derby and the Donn Handicap. The mare, Ithinkisawapudycat, is a young Bluegrass Cat mare who has produced Sweet Loretta, a grade one winner by Tapit who is undefeated outside of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies, where she finished 11th. The pedigree on the colt is similar to that of champions Hansen (Tapit/Sir Cat) and Careless Jewel (Tapit/Hennessy). The pedigree shows mass amounts of inbreeding, however. There is inbreeding to Unbridled (4Sx3D), Fappiano (5Sx4D), Gana Facil (5Sx4D), Mr. Prospector (5Sx5Sx5Dx5D), A.P. Indy (4Sx4D), Seattle Slew (5Sx5D), Weekend Surprise (5Sx5D), and Storm Bird (5Sx4D). Constitution was fragile, getting hurt a few times in his career. There is hope for soundness from the mare, but overall, this colt should show an affinity for dirt and be a sprinter type.

This leggy colt, who shows a lot of chrome, is by Honor Code, a highly anticipated son of A.P. Indy who won graded stakes like the Remsen, Whitney, and the Met Mile. The colt is out of Istiraaha, a young Tapit mare. The pedigree on the colt is loosely similar to that of A P Majestic, a stakes winner by Majestic Warrior. The pedigree shows inbreeding to A.P. Indy (2Sx4D), Seattle Slew (3Sx5D), Weekend Surprise (3Sx5D), Secretariat (5Sx5D), Mr. Prospector (4Sx5D), Northern Dancer (5Sx5D). the Mr. Prospector comes through Serena’s Tune, Preach, and Fappiano. Northern Dancer can be found through Storm Bird, Vice Regent, and Nijinsky II (5th gen.). Overall, the colt should be a a later maturing one who takes to the dirt and should be a nice miler type. Honor Code was arguably best at shorter distances, and Tapit offspring need a lot of stamina underneath to be classic type horses. This one is to look forward to.

This sweet little thing is a son of Into Mischief, one of the most versatile stallions on the market. The mare, a daughter of Yes It’s True, was a pure sprinter on the dirt. The mare has produced a few foals, two winners in three to race. The pedigree on the close shows inbreeding to only Clever Trick (4Sx4D), meaning there is also inbreeding to Icecapade (5Sx5D) and Kankakee Miss (5Sx5D). The pedigree has influence from Northern Dancer, Damascus, Halo, Bold Ruler, and Hail to Reason. Overall, the colt should be a dirt sprinter and likely precocious.

This lovely colt is by Palace Malice, a new stallion who has his first foals on the ground in 2017. The mare was multiple stakes placed but won only twice, one time at 8.5 furlongs on the turf and another at 5 furlongs on the dirt. The overall record of the mare was versatile who was a sprinter/miler type for her sire, Flatter. Palace Malice was a classic winner at 12 furlongs (1-1/2 miles) and also a winner at as low as 6.5 furlongs. The mare has a two-year-old of 2017 by The Factor, named Magical Gray. The Palace Malice colt’s pedigree shows inbreeding to Mr. Prospector (4Sx4D), Raise a Native (5Sx5D), and Gold Digger (5Sx5D). The Mr. Prospector comes through son Smart Strike and daughter Praise. There is also influence from Northern Dancer through Vice Regent, Nureyev, and daughter Wild Applause. Overall, the pedigree on the colt is likely to be a quality miler type who can run on any surface.

This athletic colt is by 2010 Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver and out of Somethinaboutbetty, a Forestry mare. The mare has produced two winners from four named foals, one being a 2YO of 2017. Super Saver has produced multiple top runners, including Runhappy, Competitive Edge, and Embellish the Lace. The mare produced well loved Siena Farm homebred Dewey Square, who is now retired and become a nice show horse. The colt here shows inbreeding to Secretariat (5Sx5D) and Northern Dancer (5Sx5D). The colt gets influence from Dr. Fager, His Majesty, Mr. Prospector, and Buckpasser. Overall, the colt should be a quality miler type who will likely test the dirt first. The pedigree also shows a possible affinity for turf.

This newest addition to the world is a full brother to the insane Lani, a Japanese-based horse who contedted the entire 2016 Triple Crown campaign after winning the UAE Derby. Tapit is of course the sire of top racehorses and champions like Hansen, Untapable, and classic winners Creator and Tonalist. The mare, Heavenly Romance, is a daughter of Sunday Silence and a producer of runners like Lani and Awardee. The pedigree on the colt shows inbreeding to Northern Dancer (5Sx4D) and Mr. Prospector (4Sx5S). The pedigree also shows influence from In Reality, A.P. Indy, Hail to Reason, and Secretariat. Overall, this colt will likely start on the dirt but breeding could influence the colt to possibly contend on the turf. However, there should be no issue with the colt going two turns effectively.

This little one is bred by Sagamore Farm, a well known farm in Maryland near Baltimore. The filly is by Discreet Cat, a son of Forestry who won the 2006 UAE Derby, Jerome Handicap, and Cigar Mile. The stallion is standing at the Darley operation in Japan, but before exporting, the stallion sired horses like Dads Caps, Secret Compass, and Discreet Marq. The filly here shows inbreeding to Storm Cat (3Sx5D), Northern Dancer (5Sx4D), and Buckpasser (5Sx5D). The filly has additional influence from horses like Relaunch, Pleasant Colony, Dr. Fager, and Seattle Slew. The filly, if she makes it to the track, will likely be a quick footed runner, who enjoys the shorter distances, and could possibly make a quality turf horse. Tiz Wonderful, the filly’s broodmare sire, has proven to be a versatile young stallion, with runners on all surfaces.

This gorgeous filly is a daughter of Hard Spun and out of the stakes winning mare Artemus Kitten, by Kitten’s Joy. The mare was also multiple graded stakes placed before retiring. She also has a two-year-old of 2017 by Blame, who has not started. The filly here shows inbreeding to Northern Dancer (3Sx5D), Roberto (4Sx5D), and Raise a Native (5Sx5D). The Northern Dancer line comes from sons Danzig, Sadler’s Wells, and Nijinsky II. There is also influence from Buckpasser, Halo, Sir Ivor, and Crafty Admiral. Overall, this filly is likely to be a turf runner who should be able to handle two turns. She is likely to be a later maturing horse who will get better with age and time.

This gorgeous youngster is apart of the final crop for Proud Citizen, who was euthanized in 2016. The mare, Spring Storm, is a daughter of Unbridled’s Song who was a non-winner in 8 starts. As a stallion, Proud Citizen sired horses of all types who could run all distances on all surfaces. including two Kentucky Oaks winners in Proud Spell and Believe You Can. The pedigree on the filly shows inbreeding to Mr. Prospector (3Sx5D) and Secretariat (4Sx5D). There is additional influence from horses like Northern Dancer (through son Storm Bird), Caro, Buckpasser, and Tim Tam. Overall, this filly could be any type and only getting to the track will tell. There is both turf and dirt influence throughout the pedigree, as well as stamina and speed.
